Ally Nightingale has secrets. Secrets she doesn't even share with the Rock Chicks. But two men know what she's up to. One has her back. The other has her heart, but he doesn't know it.
As Ally rewinds the last year of her life, she knows two things. One, she’s never going to get what every Rock Chick should have—her own Hot Bunch guy. And two, she’s a Nightingale through and through. She just isn't sure what to do about that.
But as her secrets are revealed, the men in her life react. Darius Tucker, a lifelong friend, as usual takes her back. Ren Zano, the man she loves, isn't quite so sure. The Rock Chicks, Hot Bunch and the entire gang at Fortnum’s weigh in, and a Rock Chick Revolution starts brewing.
It’s up to Ally to control it and prove what she knows down to her bones.
She’s a Rock Chick,
she deserves her hot guy and she’s going to keep the one she wants…
Because she’s a Nightingale
My Review:
I loved this final instalment with the Rock Chick's and it was great to see Ally come out of her shell and submit to a relationship finally, instead of wondering the what if's and wherefores of a relationship, with one of the members of the hot bunch that she has in the past had her eye on.
Ally she also decides what she finally want's to do in life
and then goes for it full steam ahead.
Ally and Ren fit together perfectly, there life is extremely busy and yet they manage to find the time to be able form the bond that will cement their relationship together for their lifetime, through thick and then, she wins him over and they they gel.
There was still a heap of action at Fortnam's as per usual and yes coffees were a big feature again for all the girls,
but it also gives an opportunity to reveal who they figure out has written and published the Rock Chick novels, and they get to read the first book and give their opinion on what they think about it, and it was a member of their own staff who wrote it and it was done so secretly they they never suspected them.
All the other rock chicks feature in this instalment for a final time, and it gives a massive glimpse into what they have been up too and gives you a heads up as to where things will lead for their characters and their relationships and expands deeper into their personal lives and introduces new members to the Rock Chicks and new members are additionally added to the friend base, as Ren, his family and his lot of friends become one with the group as well.
Its sad to see the end of the rock chicks but I am sure Kristen wont let us down with her future book series and their was a promise in the epilogue of this book that it isn't the last we see of the characters in this series just the end of the Rock Chicks as such, there was also a promise of a future book regarding Stella and Mace as their lives have been moved to Los Angeles.
4 Stars from me, this was thoroughly enjoyed.
A little bit about the author:
Kristen Ashley was born in Gary, Indiana, USA. She nearly killed her mother and herself making it into the world, seeing as she had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck (already attempting to accessorise and she hadn't taken her first breath!).
Kristen grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana but has lived in Denver, Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus she has been blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her posse is loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write.
Kristen was raised in a house with a large and multi-generational family. They lived on a very small farm in a small town in the heartland and existed amongst the strains of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake .Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up.
And as she keeps growing up, it keeps getting better
