Featured Interview With Casey Bond - Author Of Reap

Hi Everyone, we have Casey Bond with us today, so let's ask her a few questions so we can get to know her a little better.

Hi Casey

Tell us a little about yourself.

I’m a relatively new indie author. My oldest book is only 6 months old! But, I’ve published 5 now and am working on number six and two anthology projects on which I’ve been invited to work! I’m a stay-at-home mom, better known as domestic goddess, and write when my oldest is at school and youngest naps, or when the hubby can give me some time on weekends. I love to play with my daughters outside or in, am an avid reader, love the color teal and taking pictures. TMI? LOL!

How did you become a writer, and did you always want to write?

I had trouble sleeping when pregnant with my youngest daughter and my mom gave me an idea for a story. I caught the bug and am loving it!

How do you hope your readers react to the stories you write?

I hope they love reading what I wrote. I know I’ll never please everyone with everything I write, but I do hope they are entertained, maybe take something from the book to keep with them forever. That would be my ultimate goal—to touch someone with my writing.

What responses to your writing have affected you the most and why?

I read all reviews. I might not read them every day, but I do read reviews on book seller websites and on Goodreads.com. Good, Bad or somewhere in the middle. I read them. The great ones keep me motivated to keep writing. They give me confidence in the craft. The mediocre or low-star reviews push me to get better, to develop my writing and skills further.

Other than writing great stories, what other goals do you have for your life?

Right now I’m just trying to raise my little ones. That is my focus. I don’t plan to skydive or swim with sharks (wait, that might be cool). But, I do want to raise my kids and spend the time I have with them. Ultimately, I’d love to continue writing and see where it takes me.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I clean! LOL! And, I love to take pictures of anything and everything. I’m an avid reader. I love to swim. Love, love, love being outdoors in the sunshine.

What can you tell us about your latest works?

Reap (Book 1 in The Harvest Saga) is a dystopian romance set in the future. It explores the dynamics and power struggle between the rich and the poor.

Pariah is a young adult fantasy involving a chosen girl her forbidden love with a fallen angel.

What stories can your fans expect from you in the days ahead?

I’m working on Resist, Book 2 in The Harvest Saga. I hope to release it in the Summer of 2014. I’m so excited to be working on two anthology works and will continuously update my author page with new information! www.facebook.com/authorcaseybond

What would you like to say to your fans in New Zealand and others worldwide?

That’s the easiest question yet! THANK YOU! Thank you for reading my books and the books of other authors. I cannot say it enough that Readers are MY ROCKSTARS! Love you all!

Do you have any parting words?

Yes! Stay awesome. Stay in touch. I would love to connect with you all on facebook and twitter.
