Book Synopsis:
Jetting to Martinique for a modeling assignment with three of Europe’s hottest magazine photographers—Gustave, Fabian, and Leon—should’ve been easy, breezy beautiful. Never did I expect to look up and see a hole in the ceiling of our plane that was bigger in size than my Birkin bag.
Shit! We’re nose-diving toward Eden Island. I pictured how my New York Times obituary might read when I’m gone, “Taddy Brill, Manhattanite, dethroned descendant of the Austrian House of Brillford royalty, dies at age eighteen, penniless, unloved, and a virgin.” I swear this crap only happens to me. Suddenly, Leon pulls me with Fabian and Gustave. Adrenaline racing through me, our bodies clung as one. We prepared to…crash.
The Undergrad Years is a New Adult contemporary miniseries about first loves, independence, and everlasting friendships.
My Review:
Wow, I love Avery's work I always have.
This is no exception, it was short, quirky, fun, well written and brief, I read it in bed.
So for my honest opinion, here goes
This group of friends have a phenomenal friendship that carries them from their teenage years right through to adulthood, they keep no secrets from each other and there are no holes barred, they totally enjoy the characteristics of what each person can bring to the mix.
Money between the group is no problem, they all come from totally rich backgrounds, and if and when money problems are faced it is easily resolved between the group.
Hence the reason for this book Taddy has a modelling job on the Island Of Eden, to make some money for school, and things cannot just be simple for Taddy and Co there has to be exceptional drama and laughs or it just would not be right.
The humour was terrific in this episode, is was very easy to read, and they way these girls talked about their V Card and other private things, I thought was great, they had fun and enjoyed life and that is what too many teenages now a days just simply forget to do.
Cannot really say more about the story or it will give it totally away, but this rocked 4 star once again from me.
A Little about the author:
I'm a New Yorker who lives on the Upper East Side. I write THE MANHATTANITES, a contemporary romantic soap opera of full length, stand alone novels, and it's juicy prequel companion series THE UNDERGRAD YEARS.
