Featured Interview With Laura Howard - Author of The Forgotten Ones

Well after a few missed Facebook PM's, and a couple of lost emails,  I can excitedly offer you an Interview with Laura Howard,

So lets get started,

Hi Laura

Tell us a little about yourself.

Okay! I'm in my thirties, with a husband and four kids who are growing up way too fast! I live in southern New Hampshire but I was raised in central Massachusetts. I love reading many different genres , but my favorite is Paranormal.

How did you become a writer, and did you always want to write?

I've always liked to write. I didn't ever plan on being a published author, because that felt like a pipe dream. I wrote stories and kept a diary all through my childhood. If it weren't for the rebirth of self-publishing, I doubt I would have ever had the courage to seek out publication.

How do you hope your readers react to the stories you write?

I think the best reaction is to feel empathy with my characters. To really “get” what their going through and maybe be able to see a little of themselves in them.

What responses to your writing have affected you the most and why?

There are a few who have really understood the unspoken nuances of my characters, particulary Allison from The Danaan Trilogy. She can come off as cold and mean, but she really does have a good heart, but she has a distorted self-image because of the circumstances of her upbringing.

Other than writing great stories, what other goals do you have for your life?

A fellow author, Heather Hildenbrand, inspired me to think big and it's such a great motivation. I really want to own my own home and be able to take my kids to Hawaii some day.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I love to read as much as possible. I have recently discovered The Walking Dead and am trying to catch up on all the past seasons on Netflix. It's like a drug, it's so addicting!

What can you tell us about your latest works?

My next book, Stone of Destiny, which is book 2 in The Danaan Trilogy, is due out April 25.

What stories can your fans expect from you in the days ahead?

I have a series of short stories called The Danaan Archives that I'll be publishing soon as well as working on Book 3.

What would you like to say to your fans in New Zealand and others worldwide?

That I'm just so amazed and touched that anyone wants to read what I've written. The fact that we are able to interact with so many other countries is so awesome, it just blows my mind! But mostly Thank You!!!

Do you have any parting words?

Come chat with me on Facebook, I love chatting books and random stuff!
