Lets find out a little more about Hillary

Tell us a little about yourself. 

I'm an indie author who just recently became full-time!  I love writing and couldn't be happier.  I'm the author of the Rebel Walking Series and I have a few new works up my sleeve!  I'm a wife and mom of three! 

How did you become a writer, and did you always want to write

 I had no idea I'd love to write.  One day my twelve year old daughter came home from school after she showed some friends something she had written.  One of them had told her she could never be an author and that it was terrible.  She was upset and told me about it.  I told her that we dont let anyone tell us what we can do.  We make it happen on our own.  I also asked her who she thought the last person who could write a book would be.  She said me.  I knew this would be her answer.  I never took the time to read and haven't had the time to show my more artistic side.  I was an accountant for heaven's sake!!!  So I set out to self publish on my own.  It wasn't long and the first one became an International Best Seller!

How do you hope your readers react to the stories you write

I hope they feel what my characters feel and that they fall in love with them like I have. 

What responses to your writing have affected you the most and why

The overwhelming responses that they loved what they just read.  

No Strings Attached received some outstanding messages that I'll never forget.

Other than writing great stories, what other goals do you have for your life  

My only other goal I worry about is raising my three children and loving their father!

What do you like to do in your spare time

I have spare time?  Not really!  I'm a very active mom and being an author takes up any spare time I have beyond ball games and kid functions!

What can you tell us about your latest works

The Rebel Walking Series follows a band and the group of friends in their circle.  

Book one:  In a Heartbeat features the drummer, Talon and the girl he meets Eaven.  They hit it off quickly and they both become the foundation for the series.  He is HOTTT HOTTT HOTTT.  The best part is... his twin brother Taron is the lead singer.  He is featured in Book two:  Heaven Sent.  He meets Ivy in book one, and their chemistry is different than most.  Their back and forth banter has you falling in love.  Following those two books is a novella that follows up stories for the twins.  Book three:  No Strings Attached, features the two guitarists Luke and Lilly.  The heat between the two of them is a long time coming, but so much fun to witness.  This book is very emotional, but it has become my favorite because of that emotion.

What stories can your fans expect from you in the days ahead

 Holden's book will be out early May.  It's titled Hold Me Closer.  Then shortly following, Luke's second book will release!  I also have the beginning of a new series that will release this summer.  The first in that series is titled Don't Close Your Eyes.  A part of it is featured in the anthology Pink Shades of Words.  All of the proceeds to that 17 author collaboration go to breast cancer research.  The anthology is only available until May 31st, but I'll release the full length following that!

What would you like to say to your fans in New Zealand and others worldwide

I love my fans no matter where they are!  Without the worldwide acceptance of my work, I'd never be where I am today!
